  
John Rackham was also known as "Calico Jack" for the bright clothing he often wore! Jack Rackham was also the man voted into Vane's captaincy. He went on to plunder the West Indies until his capture in 1720. Rackham's place in history rests on his great romance with the lady pirate Anne Bonny. Afloat or ashore, according to Defoe, Rackham "had nothing but Anne Bonny in his head."
